Well how can you tell if you're in a recession? If your parents are asking for favors... A LOT....
My fathers van failed state inspection and my family is in dire need of two vehicles. So he told me he may need me to pay for the brake line and a few tires... easily 200-300 dollars.
This fucking bites - My own vehicle needs close to 600 dollars more work to be street legal and my parts flow has been good.
Yet I told my father that I asked my boss to hold my check this week and pay it to me next week along with my other check so I can get certain parts. My father flipped out and said that his vehicle is the priority.
Im sorry, is it his money or mine!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Here's the kicker - I'm working 50 hours a week babysitting two prepubescent boys and making $2 an hour - I'm only making $100 weekly.

*Cries* This really blows... as selfish as it may seem - I wish I could spend my money and not feel guilty that I spent it on myself for a good reason; I need a car to get a real job too you know.

hahaha - we have three - my dads van - my mothers camry - and my van. We'll make do - money's tight and I cannot blame my folks for they're trying the best they can as far as money is concerned.
