I had a fine Easter. My sister and her boyfriend stayed over. We had a beef dinner, my dad tried his hand at Yorkshire Pudding, and my mom made a delicious combination of a carrot cake and cheesecake.

Sounds like a nice family reunion. ^^
Here we just ate croque-monsieurs and chocolate lobsters (chocolate figures shapped as a lobster) with my husband. XD

We did, as I told you : a chocolate lobster for each of us ^^

We just had a dinner. No real egg hunt, no candy, no baskets this year. Saving money that way.

Same here ! Convention is very close now and we need all the money to pay for goodies and visit-us cards creation !
We're lucky to not have any child around to gift chocolate to. XD But ! We've bought ourselved one little chocolate figure to eat on Sunday <3

Sometimes, especially during most holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, depending upon how far away the other family members live. Can’t easily visit family members that live States away or in another country.
That’s wonderful. Even if it’s very simple as long as you’re having a wonderful time, that’s all that matters.

Just like here then. But my family isn't celebrating Easter since my grand-mother died years and years ago. Maybe I should suggest to do it again. Ah yeah, I understand the long distance issues. My brother is living in the Seychelles now ^^'

Yeah. My grandma used to be the one who had the family get togethers for the holidays. She died many years ago and my aunt tried to do the get togethers unfortunately within these last couple years most if not all of our family members moved out of state.
