One of the largest issues is that some people see us as disposable contacts and/or friends to use when their "real (IRL) friends" aren't available. It's hard to make any kind of relationship last on that basis even if the friendship is super casual. I'm hoping for your case that people just got busy and will respond at some point.

I know that feeling all too well. I want to make friends, but I'm so insecure about myself that I keep doubting about who is a friend or not..
