Tiny rant about the power of boners...

Ok...so lemme start by saying I know a lot of this stuff is made and talked about in a totally fantasy realm. I know, I know...still feel the same way tho.
I've had to unwatch several very talented artists because I can't get behind sudo-rape or "str8" dude cheating on his wife/girlfriend cuz he saw a huge D storyines that come up constantly in gay comics on here. Like...jfc no wonder why there are issues with REAL rape and why there's stigma against Bi men (and bi people in general) that they are incapable of being faithful. If someone's saying "No/stop/don't/etc." it's not sexy to me unless it's obvious that both parties know it's being said as a sexy thing. It's not sexy to see a guy go and cheat on his wife/girlfriend and think about her being really upset and betrayed because of his actions. He could have just as easily exited from the relationship and explored sex with guys or choose to remain faithful to his established partner. It ends up painting the picture that dudes have NO control over their dicks and thus everyone ends up thinking that and misses that the comics are for fantasy. Yeah it can be sexy because of the taboo, yeah those kinks are totally legitimate but it's really fuckin annoying when you see a really well rendered cock but the story ends up going that way.
Consensual non-consent is sexy.
Consensual partner playing with another partner is sexy.
Lots of these comics seem to really be playing into some stereotypes that can be really hurtful to the community....just somethin to think about

I find it really funny when I see journals such as "the furry community isn't sexual" or "people misunderstand the community" - but they're so wrong it's mind boggling. Stereotypes come from facts. Sometimes they may be distorted along the way, but the basis is usually true. In the case of the furry community, almost every stereotype I've ever heard has rang super true - including such things as you're mentioning here.
Now, hear me out for this next part. The problem in this community as a whole is the basis of it - the basis is a very resilient "We accept anyone and anything" - well - people took that and ran with it. If you accept everything - no matter how hostile, or sick, or heinous - people WILL post it, and they most certainly do. I'm not saying that "you need to ban every fetish out there" - but there NEEDS to be some sort of border line that's clearly drawn in the sand.
The whole cheating aspect and rape aspect hit me hard personally, because I know people that have unfortunately been through both - and to think that people get off from such things is seriously sickening to me to even consider thinking about. Maybe I'm too opinionated and have too many morals about loyalty, but I get rather disturbed when I see such things come into favor in ANY community or group.
In the end of the day, all people can do to stop such things is NOT support those who portray these things as positives. By giving them direct attention we are only advertising them for everyone to see. You did the right thing (in my opinion) by just unwatching them, and not mentioning names - that's what a lot of others SHOULD do if they share the same opinions. If the base of the community would grow a pair and say what is acceptable and non-acceptable instead of saying "we're open to all" that really WOULD change a lot. The community created it's own problem and reputation simply because of this.
