So i decided to watch The Alienist because it looked...cool i guess ? So i went to the imdb page and it has a 7.8 stars rating and i was like - Oh wow its probably good then, and then i watched, and it was shit. It's pretty much Sherlock Holmes and Hannibal combined but... worst, the characters are not good, and its boooooring, everything you see is has already been done in a much better way...its not good...at all

But it did get me thinking, why is the rating so high then ? And i got to the conclusion that it's because of the politics, because again, people are afraid of criticizing it because of the political themes in this series. Same fucking thing happened in wonder woman, same thing happened in black panther.

And i just want to say,DON'T let politics cloud your judgment of any art forms, especially movies, its important to criticize the actual content of a piece and not just go like, -oh wow, look how progressive this is

I could obviously be wrong, and people enjoyed it no matter the politics, but dont watch it, its just garbage
