A Husky Update
So I recently went to Pine Fur Con in Maine, USA, as my first convention. I have to say it was an amazing experience. I met a lot of people, from relatively new furs, to convention directors and staff. The convention ended up being a bit bigger than expected, but this just caused me to run around everywhere and try to be everywhere at once. I clocked over 2,000 steps on the last day, and I left by 6 PM! I bought some toys, joined a bunch of new telegram groups, and of course spread the word of the NEF website a bit. This convention is going to be a thing for me going forward, and has given me the motivation to attend other conventions at some point. Thank you for getting me out of my shell, Pine Fur Con.
Now, I am extremely interested in getting a reference sheet done. I'm looking at all price ranges. I want something high-quality, however, my fursona is extremely simple. Black and white athletic Husky. Really can't get more simplistic. I do have a general written reference with an example of the desired husky fur pattern, and a close up example of fur transitioning from white to black on a Husky. The idea is for 3 poses (Front, Side, Back), 3 close-ups (Face, Tail, Hands/Paws), and a separate NSFW reference that I will need to discuss with the artist. Realizing that this still involves a lot of work despite a relatively simple fursona, I'm expecting to break the $100 mark for something really good. We'll see what happens though.
In other news, I finally received my B.S. in Computer Information Technology. I might start looking for a new job soon. For the immediate moment, I'm trying to shift my schedule so I can get weekends off. This schedule exists and is being offered, but whether I get it or not depends on who goes for it, and how long they've been with the company. So, here's to hoping, because this would make it easier to visit the NH Furbowl without sacrificing sleep!
