WOLFHORSE SPECIES RULES
Hey there y'all,
Heyo! I’ve decided to make wolfhorses a VERY open species! I know they don’t have many cool features and they aren’t a big thing, but because they’re selling now, I’ve decided to post their story and some rules if you want one!
BACKSTORY: Wolfhorses belong to an AU in which smaller anthros (foxes, cats, mini dog breeds, otters, rabbits, etc.) have given up on trying to ride normal sized horses— as they are too big— and miniature horses— as they aren’t fast or agile enough for sporting. Instead, they’ve bred a type of wolf to be herbivorous and tameable to ride, aptly called Wolfhorses. They are not a natural species and were bred to behave and be colored like horses. They are also called Quartergreys for being a quarter horse-grey wolf mix.
REGISTERED NAMES: Many are registered under fancy names-- often times to keep track of 'lineage' --but have a “barn name” that is more common. Keep in mind when naming your Wolfhorse that they will need a registered name if you want them in the database! These names can be shortened for authenticity or changed by you to something more your taste for the 'common name'. For example my Wolfhorse, Holt, is registered as 'Jackson's Gun Holt', but I call him 'Holt' for short, whereas my other Wolfhorse, Rhett, is registered as 'Warm Dusk Firefight' and his name is nowhere close to that! For an example of linage tracing, Holt has a son registered as 'Jackson's Dun Gun', whom I call 'Smoky'. The 'Jackson's' and 'Gun' come from Holt's registered name, showing their genetic connection. I KEEP RECORD OF THE REGISTRATIONS, SO PLEASE LEAVE ME A NOTE ON YOUR WOLFHORSES REGISTRED NAME AND COLORING AND I WILL GIVE YOU AN ID/PUT YOU INTO THE DATABASE.
ANATOMICAL RULES:
- always have horse coloring patterns (colors can be abnormal, but is always in horse patterns, EX: a blue and purple paint or a green and pink appaloosa)
- can have manes or not
- have claws
- high shoulders
- long backs
- have canine teeth with a “bit gap” in the back, similar to horses
- solely herbivores
- have large ears that point forward
- have very long fur on tails
- only have 1-2 offspring at a time
-behave like horses (timid, spooky, sort of lazy, moody, gentle)
Adopt one or make your own! Please get them registered! I will have a template for use up soon! I am a “breeder”, so if you want a certain color of one, feel free to send me a commission note and I will “breed” one for you!
Thanks and enjoy!
