If it were me i'd see if fully uninstalling (and clearing the cache on both) and reinstalling and see if that works.

If it is Android and you use Chrome you can alternatively use PWA (Progressive Web Apps) versions

should be a "add to home screen" option when you press the 3 dots on the top corner, it's basically just like their app counterparts just instead of many styling things and formatting things being on your phone it will get everything completely from the internet, although over time this will be more demanding on data and these can carry limitations because everything is online biased.

yeah i'm trying to backup my phone but its having problems so i will try on a different computer today and do a full reinstall as new and see if that works.. but i think i lost telegram forever since the phone number was a prepaid number and its gone now..i was stupid enough to forget to change it to my new number. =/

Hmmm yeah I mean see if actually contracting telegram support or something and seeing if they can at least get the number changed or something. It's like the same as my number just my old sim and now use one that is linked with my old. Everything is reforwarded to me but just have to keep note of the old number somewhere.

yeah chances are its screwed and i hope the guy never opens telegram xwx, but yeah i'll have to make a new account if worst comes to worst.
