A bit too generalized to be a hard and fast rule IMO, but perhaps a useful guideline?

The one thing in particular that comes to mind for me is when an issue arises where different parties have different answers or responses. Each one has a different belief on what is the right answer and what is the wrong answer. I think what I'm getting at is...is there ever a point where we should let someone find out for themselves that they're wrong? Or rather, see whether or not they actually are wrong?

Basically: facts are that which can be said to be correct if compelling evidence is shown for such a statement.

OTH there's the realm of the philosophical, that which is impossible to be shown as correct OR incorrect.

You're entitled to believe any random thing about members of the later, because they cannot be shown to be correct or incorrect. But you're not entitled to believe any random thing for members of the former because they CAN be shown to be correct.

That's a tough one. When it comes to non-tangible, unproveable things like beliefs, morals, judgements... there is the common thought that there "is no right or wrong." Everyone is both in one way or another, so it's everyone's right to be imperfect... It becomes a matter of perspective. One person's right is another's wrong and visa versa. Because of that, it is very difficult to tell someone they are wrong. Their judgememts were made based on upbringing, experience, and influence, thus are deeply personal. The only thing that I think that can be done is seed doubt. Ask the questions, make them question themselves. It tears down that wall of tightly held beliefs, then it's up to them to reform it and make a new conclusion. Even if it's still "wrong".

I think that's a pretty good rule of thumb. We are seeing situations like with the anti-vaxxer movement where their actions and chooses are extremely dangerous to their children and other children too young for vaccinations and others with compromised immune systems. However their beliefs are protected under the constitution here in the states, even though there are heated debates about it.

People have the right to be as wrong or messed up as they want. In the end everyone has to atone for their wrong actions one way or another.
