what's your favorite board game?

General
(I needed to replace my last journal and this is what came to mind lol)
I've been playing Gloomhaven lately, really can't get enough of it but my group can only meet once a week for it :(

FA+

For something a little longer, Betrayal at House on the Hill generally becomes my choice.
If it's a regular thing and my friends wish to suffer, Kingdom Death Monster.
Other Recommendations:
Rising Sun, very fun but you might need to run through it once or twice to get the rules down. Also I hope you like minis
Scythe (With the Air Gambit expansion), if your like strategy and waging war on all sides
Terraforming Mars, if you like strategy and don't care about combat
Ascension, if your wanting a quick card game with no collecting to it
Infection at Outpost 31, if you like John Carpenters The Thing
Through The Ages, which is the best Civilization game that is not on a computer
Dice Throne, for quick and easy and class based competitive games.
Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire, Necromunda, and Blood Bowl, if your into collecting and making a hobby out of your board games, its all Games Workshop stuff so its fantastic quality but very much hobby enthusiast sorta game (s).
Dungeons and Dragon Adventures: Ravenloft, sooooo much fun even though I haven't played it in 2 years as its a certain group I do the DnD Adventure games with, but this is last on the list as its a oldie but a really good one.
Terra Mystica is another fave of mine, but it's exactly the opposite as far as time spent and teaching. If you're with a group that can digest a largely 0-RNG, complex strategy game, it gets really really rewarding.
Ones that have been mentioned that I also recommend:
Gloomhaven, Terra Mystica, Scythe, Istanbul, Mansions of Madness (1st ed preferred, but both are good), Through the Ages.
Also a big fan of Zendo (which was finally reprinted!), Race for the Galaxy (technically a card game), Puerto Rico, Goa, and The Castles of Burgundy.
