Progress update (These seem to be annual or something)
Upgraded to a tower computer and started on my game project finally. I have a mostly functional character controller (The camera keeps breaking foe no apparent reason) and I'm getting started on procedural dynamic terrain. Currently, it's just a flat plane that, with little effort, I could give vastly more area than minecraft's supposedly (bug not actually) infinite worlds. We're talking several million years to walk across, and that's a colossal understatement.
NOTE: "Procedural" just means that something is assembled by the game code rather than by the coder. Procedural terrain =/= procedurally generated terrain. My game's terrain will be pre-generated, IE designed by me, then procedurally populated with stuff, because that would take years to do manually.
The current plan is to actually rip out that broken character controller and start over on it once terrain assembly works, so I can actually test the controller in the actual in-game environment instead of on a silly arrangement of stairs and ramps. Things move right along when I can manage to wrangle my mental disabilities (which I know know I actually have 4 of) to let me work on it.
I'd say the game is currently on version 0.0.0.w-21 (Pre-alpha, week 21) with quite a ways to go.
Changing topic quick, I've refined my art style and can now do a rough sketch in about 10 minutes, then color it digitally in about 2-4 hours. I might upload my various doodles (Both NSFW and otherwise) to my gallery in the not too distant future if I ever get the motivation up to do so.
