I loved The Dark Crystal as a kid i loved all the 80s fantasy stuff of that vibe like Labyrinth and Willow too

Oh it's a fine movie, but Jim Henson had issues. The Podling Draining scene in particular is creepy as well, not even getting into the Skeksis as a whole!

Its a classic, but I was way too old to be traumatized by it. I seen "Labyrinth" with David Bowie before seen this.

It loses some effect if you watch it too late to be traumatized.

I saw it, was not a kid, guessed the end after only the first five minutes, considered it cute.

Well, my thoughts only ever go to the Skeksis. :P

However, if I'm honest here, I am pretty much playing this up for fun. I was 8 when I saw it the first time, but I had already seen The Terminator and a few other scary movies, so it wasn't really that bad. But I do remember being creeped out by certain parts of the movie. Namely the Podling draining scene.

It was really my little sister who was traumatized by this film. She's utterly terrified of the Skeksis.
