Yep! I got me a fancy new computer, and it's far better than the iMac I've been using for all my digital art. In fact, it's pretty much a top of the line machine, and with it, I'm going to get back into digital artwork!
Now it's going to take me some time to get back into it. DAZ Studio is quite a bit different now, and I pretty much have to rebuild my old library from my Mac, since my new machine is a Windows computer.
My iMac has long since been dead (the screen is broken and it costs way too much for another), but hopefully the hard drive is still good and I can pull all of the necessary files off of it. It probably won't be very easy, but as long as the old hard drive is still readable, I'll get it done!
For those of you interested in computers, here's the specs of my new beast. It sure beats the heck out of my old Core i3 iMac, with AMD Radeon 5670 graphics, and 12Gb of 1300 Mhz DDR3 RAM.
My new machine has:
Intel Core i7-8700k 6-core (hyperthreaded to 12 cores) running at 3.7Ghz, with turbo at 4.3Ghz.
Nvidia GTX 1080 GPU with 8Gb of onboard RAM
16Gb DDR4 RAM Running at 2.4Ghz (Soon to be upgraded to DDR4, 3.2Ghz)
One 250Gb SSD, plus 1Tb HDD, plus 4Tb HDD.
On top of that, I have a high-speed 4K monitor, so my new artwork will be rendered at very high resolutions.
More than likely, I'll be posting my artwork in standard 1080 HD, with a link in which you can download a full 4K version.
I hope you all like my new artwork, and stay tuned!
