I do not believe that I will be using FA or Weasyl nearly as much as I used too. Before I continue let me say that this is not some cry for attention or a plea to see how many people care. I have simply suffered a tragic loss and my priorities are elsewhere at the moment. My best friend and dog, Shane, fell to his death, on his third birthday of all days, and I was the only one able to climb down and find him. I haven't slept well last night, and I am an emotional wreck, crying regularly and constantly thinking about him. Even though it was only an accident, I can't help but blame myself and think about all of the things I could have done to keep him safe. It's one thing to lose a friend, it's another entirely to search for hours, find his body, then hike up a mountain to bury him. Until I can collect myself, I will be decidedly absent.
