Hrmmmmmmm. This is probably a dumb question, but what are the largest pair of boobs you've ever drawn?

In addition, is there a size of bosom that you consider to be "too big"? Like, would a pair of "sofa-sized" breasts be too big even for you? :?

I've drawn some ridiculously huge boobs as a gag before: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20692920/ but generally, for me, if they go down further than the waist they're "too big".

It has a lot to do with the character design as well, and some folks can always manage to create exceptions to the rules, like Jaeh's "Busty Bird", and RoboMax's "Emma DeGull" who are (or have been) way bigger than that, but their cartoony style and humor make it work.

As someone who's a macrophile it might seem "weird", but I'm really, really not into "hyper", because it just completely breaks the aesthetics of a design and tends to descend into irrational choices where "what I like" or "must be biggest" or whatever outweighs everything else.

I agree. The boobs-with-legs look is amusing but the aesthetic is awkward sometimes.

I'm stunned how well Jaeh gets away with his designs, and Gideon, so big, yet works.

I'll agree with you on the toony style thing. One artist I used to follow I ended up dropping because he had got into a "bigger breasts" feedback loop¹ and his realistic style was making them offputting even though he was still within the realms of what you could really encounter, (they were smaller than the ones on some strippers I saw ads for as a teen).

Meanwhile, there was stuff from a number of artists where the whole boobs with legs, (or even "she's obviously walking so I assume there are legs behind those"), thing worked because they were blatantly cartoons.


1: He auctioned off his finished work, stock pinups with big breasts went for the most money. Thus he drew more of those, attracting the people who liked big tits and didn't care about interesting poses while driving away people who wanted more dynamic works with smaller breasts. This increased the sales bias towards boring depictions of huge hooters, which caused him to draw more of them including ones that were even larger. After about a year he went from being a source of really interesting and fun art to nothing but basic pinups where a small set of breasts was still larger than her head.

It's an unfortunate side-effect of doing art as a source of income and hitting on a niche-market you decide to cater too: your work stagnates because all you're doing is catering to someone else's fetish for a guaranteed income.

Where do babies come from?

What's your favorite theme to draw? Macro cityscapes? Casual weekends? Dancing, camping?

I don't really have a favorite theme, per-se: I like drawing pinups, cheesecake and beefcake, and erotica. If there's an overaching "theme" in my work it's trying to tell a story in the image, creating a scene, pose or accessories that make the viewer wonder or give a feel of a "moment in time" to the image, to make it seem more "alive".

I love the way you do tell so much about a character, their personality, what they're doing in a single image - even if they're being wild or lewd or silly, it still makes every picture feel deep and impactful.

What is the weirdest request for you someone ever asked to be drawn?

That goes back a long time: the weirdest thing I was ever requested to draw was a 'taur character that had something like six back legs, multiple arms, multiple wings and multiple sets of genitalia between each set of back legs.

I don't remember: it was at a convention literally decades ago (Albany Anthrocon, I *think*); I didn't even try and find out who the person was, I just looked at the description and went "Sorry, no."

Yvonne says: "I've never really met any of my students after they graduated, beyond perhaps passing encounters. Yes, I like motorcycles as much as I like sports-cars, although I don't know how to ride a motorcycle beyond straddling it and holding on tight!"

That would be interesting to see -- Yvonne in some skimpy or skin-tight (possibly unzipped) outfit straddling a motorcycle. "Ride me" indeed!

That's entirely possible, though I think she's implying that she likes doing it *with* someone*.

That opens even more possibilities, although selection of partner would be troublesome. So may would feel jealous.

If you could... What character would you like to draw in a erotic setting, and why?

Well, even if I took that as meaning "if I felt I had the skill to draw them", that list would be so long as to be painful. There are a giant list of characters out there who I'd love to see or do erotica of but part of the joy of the character is how the original artist draws them.

Oh, probably: my interest in a character tends to be based on what sort of ideas and inspirations it generates: if something happens to wake Hsien up again, then there will be more drawn.
