Dog vet update.

So I took the dog to the vet, and yes: she was in diabetic ketoacidosis. She's on an IV drip of insulin to get her blood sugar down, and there is going to be quite a lifestyle change around here as a result. She has also developed cataracts because of the DKA so she's going to have to adjust to near blindness, and we're going to have to dog-proof the house so she doesn't hurt herself. Maybe some time down the road I'll be able to afford the $3500 needed to get her surgery to fix that.
Ya'll have shown some insane generosity on the GoFundMe page. We're already over 80% of the way to the original $400 goal. That is so awesome it made me cry. Unfortunately, the estimate for the vet bill is between $900 and $1400. So as much as I can't imagine imposing on my audience's generosity any further, I have increased the GoFundMe goal to $800. I appreciate anything ya'll can give, and I'm thankful for your concern and well-wishes.

You can buy one, but they tend to be pretty shit (too small a loop, either not flexible enough or are too flexible, uses faux fur or another fuzzy material that gets dirty real easy, doesn't strap to the chest so it moves around).
