You dont need a fursona, you can just have fun with your ocs and the strories you make for them^^

AH, Have fun with your OCs, that's what I do. I'm just the Puppeteer that wears my OC's fleshy bodies to make them do things. XD

I mean, I don't really have a 'sona either. I rp as my characters, but there is a distinct difference between them and me. Just saying I think you're fine.

Just draw what you'd like. You'll get a fursona that'll click shouldn't be enforced Oc's are just as great too!!

Eh, no rush on the whole fursona thing. I've been a fur since I was 14 as well, and I've swapped many fursonas since... I've gone a few years without one.

Honestly, I was always more attached to my Pokemon characters. It wasn't until very recently, within the last few months, that I finally made Mason.
Up until him, I kept making, and then abandoning, old "fursonas" because I didn't bond with them, I didn't resonate properly... I didn't like how they looked, how they felt, and they didn't feel like me.

Mason feels different, though! He has that special something that I really wanted, and I feel I can inject my own personality into him.
Considering that I don't really like myself all that much, I think being able to do so is a big deal! So take your time and don't stress about it.

Oh. I thought "pokesona" is a fursona. Or well, a subtype thereof. So in that sense, you already do have one, don't you?

I and most people seem to consider them separate things. But fursona is what you make it. I still consider a fursona as furries/anthros specifically

I see :o I didn't know that :3 I just thought any character that could be considered a part of the "furry fandom" could be your fursona. Interesting! But yeah then, take your time, pick what you like :3

I totally relate, I don't like the idea of having a fursona myself.

I've gone the other direction and keep accumulating more fursonas until I am entirely satisfied. Kinda doubt I'll stop, haha

I've been kind of the same way... I had a fursona for... I don't even know how long; since I was a teenager for certain. It was more than just a character, it was *me*; things happened and I didn't feel comfortable with it anymore/didn't see myself as that any longer... now my 'sonas feel more like 'characters' than they do 'me'.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that though. I'll form one again one day, I'm sure, and it'll be me again; in the meantime the characters are fun to play with and reflect at least a small part of me, if not everything. Might be the same way with you and your characters?

You don't even really need one, do you? It's not a requirement.
