On Saturday, my mom tripped, fell, hit the corner of a concrete wall, knocked herself out and suffered a concussion. Lost some of her memory (only lost the memory of the accident), but is OK and is more back to her old self...mentally at least. Physically, she has some of the WORST bruising I've ever seen in real life. Bruises under both eyes, all around her left eye, a big bump and bruising around her forehead (where she hit the wall), bruising down the left side of her head and neck. But, I'm just glad she's alive and doing better. It COULD have been the end of her life if it happened any differently.
*hugs back* Thanks. I hope so, too. She is better, though there are still gaps in her memory, and she is having to use a walker and to avoid bending down, but she is getting better. It will take about 6 weeks or so for her to heal.
cars can be as bad as wars sometimes for things that happen to living beings.
trains and plains too, but not nearly as often. even ships.
(regulations, technologies and consciencous operators make them a hundred times safer)
or falling off of really high places.
obviously nothing else to say besides best wishes.
Thanks. I appreciate that.
In her case, it was just walking, though.
