Thoughts on Pokemon Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu

One thing to remember, out of all the things in life
I feel dissapointed that this, along with Pokemon Quest, get to be the first pokemon games on the switch, not including Pokken since that's a port.
The main reason why I don't like it just by the trailer is because it's essentially a remake of Pokemon Gen 1 with Pokemon Go elements packed in. I know it has pokemon following you and all that as well as customizable Pikachu and Eevee plus ridable pokemon, and it looks cute, but if that's really all that's new, then it really isn't a decent start for Pokemon Switch, especially since there's no implication of other generations to it. Plus we've been to Kanto a good few times and pandered to Gen 1 and payed image to it so many times. It's too early for a Gen 8, but at least show us like a Gen 4 remake, like everyone has been asking and theorising
I will also bring this picture into the mix because it perfectly shows how I feel about the game

This is one guy's unpopular opinion though.
Edit: just to clarify, the image is more of a silly thing than something I fully agree upon despite me loving the shit out of Pokemon MD EoS

on top of that, the fact that it incorporates compatibility with Pokemon Go (a current and modern Pokemon game with the same target audience) is incredible and a smart move both in terms of marketing and in terms of features that fans who were around when Gen 1 was new will want. take it from me, I'm one of them. that nostalgia factor is real, yo~
also, you claim that it's not got online multiplayer, but I feel like that can't be quite true. :/ 1.) all Pokemon games have multiplayer functionality by their very nature. 2.) not all games have to have online multiplayer to be fun (Dad of Boy is proof of that) and I frankly never liked online multiplayer games because I think gamer culture is toxic and unfun. and 3.) the trailer clearly showed that you can have multiplayer play IN THE OVERWORLD. so what the fuck are you even talking about? x_X
and finally, being condescending about the difference between "boys" and "men" because you don't like one game is really beneath you. =.= do you have to be mean to other people just because you don't like the game? it's fine if you don't like it, but please just let us enjoy it. not every game has to appeal to everyone, or even to the broadest demographic.
I for one have never been happier or more excited for a new Pokemon game in my life than I am now~ ^.^
Also glad you're happy about a new game coming out, hope you enjoy it and I do hope I am wrong about the game, I WANT to be since this is the first game I'm not looking forward to.
Also it's been a while since I've see you, good to see ya :)
and yeah, you may be very right. I think there has been alot of calls for certain other gens to get remakes too that haven't yet. and there is still tons of new stuff to keep exploring. so that's all totally valid!
just, I'm still gonna be personally super psyched about getting to play a Yellow Version remake where I can choos eto start with Eevee. >w<
Honestly, I'm happy you're excited for it, but just be warned, don't let the hype blind you because you can get hit by the Dissapointment comet once you do. The hype goes down and so does that initial feeling of "Holy crap this is amazing!" Which is how I felt about every pokemon game, which is why Pokemon Sun and Moon and the Ultras ended up dissapointing me, Sun and Moon because it felt incomplete and Ultra Soon and Moon because it didn't really feel like an upgrade but more like the full version, in addition to the lackluster addition of Ultra Metropolis and Ultra Wormhole since those were the major things.
they said that this game is for the casual gamers, and the game for the next year with the 8 gen if for the competitive
I am quite mad that they are pandering to the genwunners and cared less about other gens. Quite sick of Kanto pokemons getting the spotlight a lot actually.
And it worries me that it seems they only doing pure kanto pokemons, judging from the description.
Its like giving a birth to a lot of children, and you always giving the first child more goodies than their siblings.
Simplifying gameplay for people like this is showing they don't have confidence in the product being itself and it makes me worry about how they are going to do Generation 8. Pandering to the "casual" audience is a duo blade that can be worst by not believing the audience can get into the true game even with the tutorial in play.
As you need to remember, the CASUAL market has two genders, not just one.
Who plays candycrush/use their cellphone to sell themselves the most? Hmm..
