Elements of Duality

So, it looks like this is going to be A Thing.
This all began with a commission from
michael345 having to do with a conjoined Luna/Nigfhtmare Moon, the former consoling the latter. For reference, go here: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/27472177/
It snowballed into a story I wrote called A Tale of Night and Shadow. Here's a link, if you want to see what that's about: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27472689/
Then I got into a discussion with
bigtonoto and
gd666 about a possible similar situation arising with Celestia and Nightmare Daybreaker...and my muse started to wake up.
Damnit I'm not even a fan! I like certain elements and themes about MLP:FiM but as a steady diet I find the show wearing (I will admit that Pinkie Pie is a BIG REASON for this). I would also like them to deal a little more with some of the show's darker elements. In particular, I would like to see SO MUCH MORE of Luna, because I fell in love with the character.
So here I am. I'm not a Brony by any means but the Muse wants what the Muse Wants. And what it wants...is Elements of Duality.
First of all this Equestria has anthro ponies because that makes everything cooler (I'm writing it, I'll have damned anthro ponies if I frelling want). Second, in this Equestgria, Luna doesn't become Nightmare Moon, she manifests her -- as a conjoined twin. This of course, upsets everyone -- even Discord, who's strangely quiet. (Well, he's stone at this point in Equestria, but if he wasn't he'd be strangely quiet). And it got me to thinking: in order to be truly harmonious, should the elements of harmony have a dark side?
Thus, the idea of the Elements of Duality is born, where each Elementr of harmony is joined with its Element of Disharmony.
I'll be writing out a more detailed treatise later I just needed to get this bit out there.

Pinky Pie: Whoremonious?
Cherry Cupcake: That's my line!
Yes, Pinky Pie's 'dark side' is going to be called 'Cherry Cupcake'. Her Element shall be Mockery; she's an incorrigible prankster who doesn't always know when to stop teasing. She's more grounded than Pinky Pie is, but DAMN she's got a mean streak a mile wide if you rub her the wrong way.
Three guesses where I got the name from. And the first two don't count.
So Cherry is a bard from D&D, armed with Viscious Mockery? Oh my!
How will everyone view their conjoined counterparts, I wonder? Luna sees NMM as a sister, but I wonder if the other Elements will view these entities as something else?
