Commission Terms and Conditions
I'm opening up to commissions for stitched works, just to get a bit of variety in my work. Before you place an order for a commission, please be sure to read the following carefully.
Ordering:
* I will take payment via PayPal, or by points on deviantART. If paying by points, please note that I will not start kitting up until the transaction has cleared.
* You must provide the image I am to be using. I will not design the piece for you. I do have access to a large stock library, but I do not have the time to go through images with you.
* You must have the rights or permission to use the image transformatively. This means you have either created the image, or you have written permission allowing the use of the image in this way. I will not take fanart commissions. Period. Don't Ask.
* I will, however, take requests for fanart, and am not opposed to selling the original pieces when done. Fanart requests are not guaranteed, and will be done only if I have a gap in my schedule or the piece is interesting enough.
* All my stitched work is done on camera, either during a livestream or for a YouTube video (sometimes both). This is the only way I can keep my prices low. If this is a gift for someone and you would rather I not stream it, please let me know. I will be happy to hold off on the production video until after the gift has been delivered. Private projects for which there is to be no stream or video made will be charged an additional $50 per pattern page.
* These projects take a LOT of time to do. They cannot be rushed. A single page can take between 10-15 working-hours to complete, depending on complexity. If this project is for a gift, please allow at least two weeks per pattern page to make sure it can get to you in time. I will cancel the fuck out of your order if you try to rush me in any way.
Finishing:
* I do not offer any finishing services. Your piece will come gently folded or rolled, depending on size, with no frame. This is to keep shipping costs down.
Shipping:
* These commissions are for physical items. As such, you will be asked to provide a shipping address. If you are outside the US, you will also be charged a base shipping fee of $15 USD, because shit's expensive to ship internationally and I can't afford to eat those costs.
* All finished items are shipped in cardboard boxes with plenty of wrapping and padding to protect your order.
* You will be provided with a tracking number. It may take up to 48 hours before the tracking number is in the system and becomes searchable.
* Once the package has been dropped off to the post office, it is out of my hands. There is nothing I can do at that point to make it arrive faster. Please don't ask.
Cancelled orders:
* If an order is cancelled for any reason, you will be refunded an amount based on the percentage of the project completed. I will send you the incomplete piece, along with the pattern so it can still be finished at your discretion.
* Page surcharges for projects that weren't to be filmed will not be refunded for pages that have been worked on.
Page Size
Pages are usually a set, defined size - just under 50x60 stitches. The size this translates to on fabric can vary depending on the fabric that's used. This will be discussed during negotiation. TL;DR, bigger stitches sizes will have less detail, or may wind up enormously large. There is a limit to how big I can stitch something, so don't expect a tapestry that can be hung on your entire wall.
Where page size varies is often with sprites and postage stamps. In these cases, I will often make the page size a little bigger to avoid having to print across pages for small designs. These pieces will still be limited to about 60x70 stitches so I do not go blind.
