At this point, I've got a lot more ideas than time.

I've often thought about signing into the furry community, but today I finally did so. Frankly, I didn't know what to expect really. I didn't even know what kind of creature best suited me; a wolf? A dragon? A fox? I thought a bear would be an interesting fit. I've often seen myself as a big bear... Anyway, over the years I've done a lot less thinking about what animal I, myself, am and a lot more thinking about characters that I could create, write stories, profiles, and adventures for. I'm not without some skills in drawing and creating computer art, but I'm not nearly as practiced or honed at it as most of the artists I've seen. I have, however, been told by a number of classmates at college that I'm a very good writer. One thing you should know about me is that I'm not a fan of Disney. Not now anyway. That could change, but now I see Disney as an incredible sellout that used to be a charming little idealistic movie-making company. The degree to which it has sold out its own classics with things like "Once upon a time", and "Descendants" is troubling enough, but now Disney has bought up Marvel and Star Wars. That just doesn't seem right to me. Anyway, I've researched plenty of cartoons that Disney DIDN'T make, but are at least as good as Disney movies of the times. Don Bluth, for example, made some powerfully emotional animated movies back in the day, including "The secret of NIMH", and "The land before time", and let's not forget what Hannah Barbara studios contributed. They made a lot more than Scooby Doo and The Smurfs! Anyway, like I said, I haven't done a lot of thinking as far as what I, myself, would be, but I've created seven well-developed characters and conceived more lesser-developed characters, with plans to develop them and to create even more. The characters I HAVE developed are (In order): An arctic fox named Jewel, a raccoon named Trick, a purple skunk named Star, a pink rabbit named Jack, a black cat named Cowl, a brown bear named Fuzz, and a red squirrel named Ruby. More on these characters and their information later. I've got to start posting my pictures on the site! I'd also like to commission some pictures, or even one or more comics. I need to do some work on creating a picture of my own fursona, but hopefully I can get an artist to give me a good profile picture. Anyway, I'm just curious on how this is going to turn out.
Well, I've been resigned from my part-time job, but I've been so busy everyday since that I've had little time for creating something on Adobe illustrator or Photoshop (although I DID manage to do that picture of Faith the coyote). Whatever free time I DO have, I have significant trouble concentrating. The search for outdated, campy entertainment (which I prefer to the reckless, less-detailed, and many times just plain stupid cartoons of today's media (I won't tell which ones because I'd hate to step on any toes here)) that I've even started watching old episodes of the original He-Man and the masters of the universe on Youtube. The show has been parodied and mocked many times (including by Geico), and looking back, I can't really blame those who did so. It's cheesey and campy with bad pacing, but somehow I can't help enjoying something with that kind of detail and the Lou Schiemer animation, similar to 60's Hannah Barbara cartoons like The Herculoids. Kind of an infectious charm really. It was also the first ever cartoon to be based on a toy line. I also frequently consider fan-fiction cross-overs using my characters interacting with characters like Darkwing Duck, or The Incredibles, or Nick and Judy from Zootopia, etc. As bizaar as it may be, watching these older episodes, I've even been getting thoughts of using He-Man and his team in a crossover, something like Ruby pitting her super strength against his, or Jewel facing Skeletor with a magic beam battle that Jewel eventually wins by conjuring up a reflective shield of frost, or Trick getting into trouble along with Orko, stuff like that. Believe it or not, according to Youtube, there are fans of He-Man even older than I am. Anyway, I'm also trying to make another book for my niece's seventh birthday, a book containing at least one story each of an adventure of Star, and of Ruby, as these two characters are apparently her favorite of the seven. In one of the stories of Ruby, she and her siblings get into a race with a lot of other furries, and in a practice run, Ruby tells her younger brother that he should be more careful, though Ruby's older sister appears to be faster than either of them. On the day of the race, Ruby's older sister leaves the other siblings in the dust, but Ruby's younger brother trips and falls onto a cliff ledge, and injures his leg. Ruby finds out about her brother's predicament and chooses to rescue him and walk him to the finish line at the cost of getting into last place. Ruby says that there will always be more trophies, but that he is the only brother she has. One of the stories on Star will be where she and her band go to a gig. Unknown to the group, Jazz holds the directions upside down and they go to the laboratory of a mad scientist who is holding a monster captive with his machine. In spite of being told to go away, Star's band prepares to play, and Star dim-wittedly unplugs the machine to plug in some speakers. While the machine is unplugged, the monster escapes and attacks the nearest city. The police are ineffective at stopping the monster, but Star steps in and begins playing party music, which the monster dances to. Star's band then joins in, and it is revealed that Star figured out that the monster was only acting defensively, and that nobody was ever nice to it before. The monster becomes tamed, which irritates the mad scientist, and the one that Star's band was SUPPOSED to have a gig with turns out to be a nice guy who adopts the monster. Anyway, it doesn't have to be award winning. It's for a seven-year-old kid, and her birthday is next month! As for anything else, I'd really like nothing better than to come up with ideas and have someone else draw pictures or comics, but I know it's much more financially feasible to do everything myself, given that I don't have a steady job right now. Still, if I can get organized, I may request a comic book artist, or at least a single-character artist. Quality is worth the price.
