Trying to bounce back

I've often thought about signing into the furry community, but today I finally did so. Frankly, I didn't know what to expect really. I didn't even know what kind of creature best suited me; a wolf? A dragon? A fox? I thought a bear would be an interesting fit. I've often seen myself as a big bear... Anyway, over the years I've done a lot less thinking about what animal I, myself, am and a lot more thinking about characters that I could create, write stories, profiles, and adventures for. I'm not without some skills in drawing and creating computer art, but I'm not nearly as practiced or honed at it as most of the artists I've seen. I have, however, been told by a number of classmates at college that I'm a very good writer. One thing you should know about me is that I'm not a fan of Disney. Not now anyway. That could change, but now I see Disney as an incredible sellout that used to be a charming little idealistic movie-making company. The degree to which it has sold out its own classics with things like "Once upon a time", and "Descendants" is troubling enough, but now Disney has bought up Marvel and Star Wars. That just doesn't seem right to me. Anyway, I've researched plenty of cartoons that Disney DIDN'T make, but are at least as good as Disney movies of the times. Don Bluth, for example, made some powerfully emotional animated movies back in the day, including "The secret of NIMH", and "The land before time", and let's not forget what Hannah Barbara studios contributed. They made a lot more than Scooby Doo and The Smurfs! Anyway, like I said, I haven't done a lot of thinking as far as what I, myself, would be, but I've created seven well-developed characters and conceived more lesser-developed characters, with plans to develop them and to create even more. The characters I HAVE developed are (In order): An arctic fox named Jewel, a raccoon named Trick, a purple skunk named Star, a pink rabbit named Jack, a black cat named Cowl, a brown bear named Fuzz, and a red squirrel named Ruby. More on these characters and their information later. I've got to start posting my pictures on the site! I'd also like to commission some pictures, or even one or more comics. I need to do some work on creating a picture of my own fursona, but hopefully I can get an artist to give me a good profile picture. Anyway, I'm just curious on how this is going to turn out.
Well, it's been a long 2 months (or close to 2 months anyway). Not having a steady job to go to leaves me with a lot more free time, and I'd decided to spend said time on drawing, writing, and creating art in photoshop. Since I've spent so much time at my computer, watching Youtube, writing and using photoshop made the most sense to me, as drawing on pencil/pen and paper drawings take a while of being undistracted for a set period of time. However, after my plan to make and post dozens (and eventually hundreds) of Magic the gathering cards fell though due to copyright-related issues, I found myself with a distinct lack of energy and focus as far as creating art, though I DID manage to generate pictures of 2 more characters (Ducky the platypus wasn't my BEST work, but I've never worked with a platypus before. I guess I should've made a hand-drawing first. I was also trying to combine a number of different ideas together, including short female character (Jewel, Star, Cowl, and Ruby were each designed to be the size of the average adult human woman) and female comic relief, (Prior to Ducky, carefree rocker Star was the main female comic relief, while Ruby was simply clumsy) as well as Ducky being a reporter. (Which I wasn't too sure how to illustrate) Maybe it was too much all at once. Anyway, I'll try again some day.) Soon, I'll come out with a picture of the seventh for team number 2, a Kangaroo, I think his name was Joey, but I can't quite remember right now. Anyway, then it's onto the characters of team number three, including Kit the Sabre-toothed tiger! I haven't thought of all of the characters of team number three, but in addition to Kit there will be team leader River the snow leopard (She's a mystic and princess similar to Jewel, but has a different personality (Not vain, and a not as pacifistic), and different powers (They both have the power to freeze others, but River has no healing powers, but the ability to communicate telepathically with others (She is otherwise mute and unable to physically speak), and some telekinesis), in addition to being a feline rather than a canine. Also, the designated "smart one" of team number three will be a midget like Fuzz, but with a much feistier personality, more similar to Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy. This character, named Sprocket, is a Fennec Fox dressed with gloves and goggles, and primarily interested in the invention and maintenance of machines. Sprocket's powers include electromagnetism. I'm planning for a total of ten teams of heroes with a total of seventy characters, though the last two will be seven different robots and seven different mythical creatures (A kitsune, a dragon, a manticore, etc.). The only problem is that, at the rate I'm making these, it'll take forever to make on pencil/pen and paper and photoshop. Not saying it won't be worth it though... Anyway, I'll also do a poster for each team, and at least one adventure for each character, an origin story at least. I'm also kind of working on a group of age-regression short stories, as well as fan-fiction crossover adventures, beginning with one where Jewel and the others meet He-Man and his friends due to a mistake on Skeletor's part. I'd also like to do age charts or at least child and baby versions of the seven characters, but I've found drawing them to be more difficult than it sounds. Perhaps I can make character age charts or baby pictures on photoshop like the other pictures. And, of course, I'm not going to forget about those video game idea illustrations. Those that I don't think I can illustrate, I'll just post in a word document, but I need enough of them to make the document interesting. As far as ideas, I also have ideas for movies both cartoon and otherwise that I may not be able to illustrate, but can write about, and there shouldn't be any copyright issues with posting a bunch of DESCRIPTIONS of new magic the gathering cards. Anyway, as usual, I've got plenty of ideas regardless of application. Creation hasn't been as easy as I thought it would be, due to low energy and not enough new inspiration, but given enough time, I could create over a thousand more posts. Anyway, I really appreciate the watchers and hope they keep watching. I'd also like to thank everyone who has posted a comment on my page or on one of my posts. I'd thank everyone by name if I hadn't been foolish enough to accidentally delete them, but still... Anyway, stay tuned!
