I've often thought about signing into the furry community, but today I finally did so. Frankly, I didn't know what to expect really. I didn't even know what kind of creature best suited me; a wolf? A dragon? A fox? I thought a bear would be an interesting fit. I've often seen myself as a big bear... Anyway, over the years I've done a lot less thinking about what animal I, myself, am and a lot more thinking about characters that I could create, write stories, profiles, and adventures for. I'm not without some skills in drawing and creating computer art, but I'm not nearly as practiced or honed at it as most of the artists I've seen. I have, however, been told by a number of classmates at college that I'm a very good writer. One thing you should know about me is that I'm not a fan of Disney. Not now anyway. That could change, but now I see Disney as an incredible sellout that used to be a charming little idealistic movie-making company. The degree to which it has sold out its own classics with things like "Once upon a time", and "Descendants" is troubling enough, but now Disney has bought up Marvel and Star Wars. That just doesn't seem right to me. Anyway, I've researched plenty of cartoons that Disney DIDN'T make, but are at least as good as Disney movies of the times. Don Bluth, for example, made some powerfully emotional animated movies back in the day, including "The secret of NIMH", and "The land before time", and let's not forget what Hannah Barbara studios contributed. They made a lot more than Scooby Doo and The Smurfs! Anyway, like I said, I haven't done a lot of thinking as far as what I, myself, would be, but I've created seven well-developed characters and conceived more lesser-developed characters, with plans to develop them and to create even more. The characters I HAVE developed are (In order): An arctic fox named Jewel, a raccoon named Trick, a purple skunk named Star, a pink rabbit named Jack, a black cat named Cowl, a brown bear named Fuzz, and a red squirrel named Ruby. More on these characters and their information later. I've got to start posting my pictures on the site! I'd also like to commission some pictures, or even one or more comics. I need to do some work on creating a picture of my own fursona, but hopefully I can get an artist to give me a good profile picture. Anyway, I'm just curious on how this is going to turn out.
Okay, I don't know if a hundred page visits in roughly two weeks is a good thing, but it's a big number, so I'd say it is. Anyway, I've still got to do things like get an avatar up. I'll probably have to commission someone else to make a Startouched bear headshot. Right now, I'm thinking multiple colors and a star shape mark over the right eye. Alternatively, I COULD just get a picture of Fuzz from another artist, since he too is a bear, but I don't know if I really want to represent myself with Fuzz the genius teddy bear. Anyway, I've got a few ideas for crossovers and cosplay. One of which is to have Fuzz hold up He-Man's power sword (While dressed as Prince Adam) and saying: "By the power of Greyskull!", then transforming into a huge, muscular bear wearing He-Man's skimpy outfit. Then, Fuzz wakes up wearing his usual outfit (or maybe pajamas), and saying that he really should lay off the honey late at night. Another idea is Jewel transforming into She-Ra (and by transforming, I mean getting her outfit on), and then getting freaked out at She-Ra's outfit. I also kind of like the idea of having age regressions of each of my characters, particularly step-by-step age regressions into cute little kids or babies. One such idea is where Jewel regresses into a teenager, then a tween, then a kid, and finally a toddler, then getting hugged by Jack, who closes his eyes and smiles with valentine hearts floating around, as Jewel sucks her thumb. Another idea would be to have Fuzz regress into a toddler, and then be hugged by Ruby, who gushes about how much cuter he is as a cub, while Fuzz complains that Ruby is hugging him too hard, and that he can't breathe. Another idea is to have Cowl turn into a toddler, and be bitter about it. Cowl says: "I WILL remember this. And someone will pay." Then, Trick says: "Don't look at ME, short stuff, I'm not changing any diapers." Cowl replies: "Zip it, rodent." Another idea could be Jack turning into a toddler, and being bitter about it, and apparently shouting, only to have Fuzz put a pacifier in his mouth, smug that he's finally bigger than Jack. Another idea could be Cowl actually being responsible for turning Star into a toddler, in an attempt to torture her, but Star actually loves being little again, and scares or irritates Cowl by taking off her diaper and running away stark naked (Shown from the back with her puffy purple tail covering much of her little rump, but her diaper lying on the ground nearby)! Then again, the whole "jaybird" thing may be a little much, maybe she just messes her diaper. Anyway, an idea with Trick might be that he regresses into a toddler, and then gets scared by Ruby because the two don't exactly see eye-to-eye as adults. Little Trick is afraid that Ruby will beat him up or at least spank him, but instead she picks him up, hugs him, and comforts him. An age regression for Ruby might be her turning into a toddler, and then Trick teasing her while cuddling her, and then getting punched into an indentation in a wall behind him, indicating that she still has super strength even as a toddler. Anyway, if I ever get up both the nerve and the cash, I'm thinking about running these ideas by Revathescarf. From what I've seen, he's awesome at both age regression AND babyfurs :). Anyway, I've got other things in the planning stage, such as a fan-fiction comic where Fuzz meets Yogi Bear, and gets into a competition, determined to prove he's smarter. Anyway, feel free to give me feedback!
