Decent References?
Anyone able to help me out with something? I am actually considering changing some things about how my Iguana character appears.
One of the specifics is just how their hemipenes are supposed to look. I am not able to find any images showing them off well enough to be used as actual references.
The image at the bottom of this page is the best I've been able to come across: http://www.greenigsociety.org/anatomy.htm
There is a diagram of it internalized in http://www.anapsid.org/hemipenes.html but it doesn't actually show anything 'useful' to me.
Off topic, I like how the author has put in a notation on Iguana Testes at the bottom of this page: http://www.anapsid.org/iguana/iguanagonads.html It is the same text found in a sidebar blurb as found in her book ''Iguanas For Dummies...'' She even advertises that very book on the main page for those interested in acquiring a copy of it.
Edit: http://reptile-parrots.com/forums/s.....s-of-an-iguana is an intriguing read, too, if one wants to know about their color changes and, perhaps, some mood swings.
Edit 2: http://reptile-parrots.com/forums/s.....to-suggestions may have what I am seeking from a side view perspective, but I don't want to register on the site just to be able to save the fourth image shown. This is suggesting they have tapered tips similar to how I have been portraying mine?
