Callie. A calico cat that my sister had for about 16-17 years had passed this week.
We had to put her down.
But she was an old cat.
And a very loved one that.
She was weird. But very affectionate.
Even though you can't trust her purrs.
She purrs when she's happy. And Purrs when she's mad.
She was my shoulder cat. Always jumping on my shoulder when I held her.
She was also the last offspring kitten from my past two cats.
She out lived her Mom, Purdy and her dad, Lucky.
She out lived her brother and sister who was adopted by our neighbors.
Callie always finds the weirdest of spots and positions to sleep in.
Would come and cuddle with you when you're sick.
Bring you live Baby Rabbits as "gifts"
And just sit there as a mouse climbs all over her.
We're gonna miss her.
But she's no longer suffering.
But on the down side... My parents will get squirrels again!
Rest in Peace Callie.
May Callie live a happy life in your heart.
The fact Callie lived up to be 16/17 is beyond amazing since she was mostly an outside cat.
Thank you *hugs*
You're welcome *hugs back*
But she was a happy loved cat.
So can't complain.
Kicked our butts til death.
She marked our neighbor one last time before we had to put her down.
So weird. She never does that before.
Twice now she jumps from the dresser or couch onto my shoulder and chills there. haha
I knew she didn't have much time left, but she seemed to enjoy her older years just as much as a young cat. Still vibrant and energetic...especially when trying to get food, lol.
But the one thing I'll definitely remember about her is that she had the same purr as Tiger.
I actually recently found a picture of her with a santa hat on...though I can't remember where I found it (phone, computer, dropbox). I might try to dig it up again.
