QUESTION: Is public acceptance of Furry rising?
Hearken to me, my subjects.
Yet-another OOC journal? Yes, I'm sorry. This is something that has been weighing on my mind. I have noticed that recently more furry has been getting more exposure in the public sphere - particularly in online discussions like podcasts and hangouts - and not all of it is negative.
More and more, the general public (at least on the internet) seems willing to look past furries being... yaknow, furries... and more likely to engage with them on topics of conversation and debate. Sure, they occasionally get the mean tease about being a horse-yiffer or whatever, but for the most part, it seems to me that public acceptance of furry is growing. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I completely wrong? And if you have seen this too, what do you think caused this shift?
Thanks for reading!

What do I think caused the shift? probably generations growing up playing Sly Cooper and Ratchet and Clank and watching furry related Cartoons like Swat Kats or Zootopia recently(gods I'm old XD)
I told ya things were changing about how people perceive furries
I very recently joined a large discord server for a game, and the topic of furries came up. A mod was forced to kick several people because they just would not stop insulting us and calling for violence. Another example is a fursuiter friend of mine who was assaulted and threatened by a man with a knife while suiting. Of course, police didn't respond.
Sadly, this has been my experience in most places online and offline. While the furry fandom is getting larger, there is still a very real, very vocal group who absolutely despise us.
If you dwell on the loud babies on either side, you'll bubble yourself into the belief it's an important topic in life.
Dunno if thats approval rising or just a rambunctious fuzzbutt I work with XD
Furry started as an offshoot of the sci-fi fandom and has always had a lot of geeks in it. Geeks are a big deal now and it's led to being weird not being so...weird.
