I am 29. I joined FA when I was 17, between my junior and senior years of high school. I didn't really favorite anything because at the time I thought FA was 18+ only so I kinda lurked until like a month before I turned 18 to actually fav and comment on stuff. I was actually going to join in 2005,but then FA shut down for like 4 months before coming back online and I wanted to see if it would suck around, which it has.

I joined FA around the same time, just as I was getting into the furry scene (around 19) but I guess you could say I was a late bloomer as I know many that joined up when they were still in their high school or even middle schoo/junior high days.

I was around furry longer than I've been on FA. I first started dabbling in furry stuff around 2000, really went into it in 2003, made a fursona in 2004 and continued to modify and changed things through 2004 and 2005. I heard about FA when it first came out but hesitated, to see if it would stick around. It had major issues a the end of 2005 so waited til the summer of 2006 to make my account here. So I could say middle school and high school in my case too, but really it was late high school before I actually considered myself a furry.

Hmm I think I first started dabbling into it around the summer before the start of my senior year (summer 2003) after joining up at a Bowser/Koopa fan website. A couple of its members were into Anthromphic animals as I saw, which in turn led me to find out about the furry fandom. but I didnt really get it into until a couple of years later.

I had a strong interest in Digimon between 2000 and 2003 or so where my main interests were Agumon, Flamedramon andGuilomon, in other words the reptilian ones. After that there was star fox adventures and a few other games. The game scaler for PS2 had a boss called the anthrosaur, which I searched up on google and found the artwork of  Kaa who drew mostly dinosaurs and dragons and some Digimon. through him I learned of deviant art and FurAffinity in summer 2005. Back then I had dialup so if I wanted to look at a picture it would take 5 to 10 minutes to actually load a single picture, something todays middle and high school kids (and probably college) would be too impatient to put up with. The technology of the mid 00's was different, so if you came in later its understandable. I dove more into the furry fandom when high school became less taxing in senior year, and especially when I got broadband in 2008, which was 10 years ago.
