That rule might make paywalls collapse if it'll be enforced strictly.

I would welcome it highly if the Patereon Paywall finally falls appart for furry arts.

I gotta admit, I've been incredibly sad and upset for the past few years. Tons of artists I loved the work of so much just uprooted themselves and went to patreon.
If patreon applies a rule that make pornographic content paywalls a thing ofthe past, we can find artists like  vader-san &  fisk opening up for commissions and ychs again!

i myself is against patreon paywall as i se it as a another alley of finance other larger projects, what i had in mind for it, but i noticed it never goes there as one plan, i maybe readjust kofi for that perhaps.

It's not just people fucking. It's any kind of explicit content, including sex workers as well as people 'selling pornographic products or services'. So it's pretty much anything and everything that has mature content in it.

I've been struck with a suspension, but after fixing my overview page (there as a mechanical creature right there front and center that had no clothing, but also no nips/sex organs that Patreon found to be implied nudity) I got it back right away. I think what most applies here is the specific rules Mewtwolover shows, that this is not a site for IRL porn. Patreon probably wishes to steer clear from specific adult content found on your regular porn site.

You shouldn't be joking at all. Porn is a multi-billion dollar business and is making stars as well as producers filthy rich(take Brazzers or Pornhub for example).
A pornographic Patreon with its own dedicated payment system(such as Chaturbate's token system) would be a good idea, although I gotta admit, I hope it doesn't happen.

Tons of artists I want art from are now permanently closed to commissions because Patreon lets them drain money from fanboys/girls who pay them to draw random personal smut, which is fine and dandy, I just want commissions of my own character instead of paying $20/month for a chance to get to choose whether it's Krystal, Renamon, or Lola Bunny who gets the dickings this time.

At least for now, gotta ensure that the public pages for Patreon are PG or G rated, even. Let the Patrons have all the goodies, implied and explicit. Mark my words, however, that sooner or later, Patreon WILL ban all adult material of any kind whatsoever. It's only a matter of time. So get it while the getting is good, n or better yet, plan something better.

it's a lot to do with how our country was founded back in the day I think. You see most folks who came over here in the early days were extremely religious people and extremely prudish and it went on from there. It got worse when you had the likes of Kellogg using their position in society, their money and connections to shove their beliefs down a lot of collective throats.
Personally I don't have a problem with sex and nudity, it's natural as things can get. It's part of us. But a lot of people are super squeamish over it and that gets reflected in laws, social mores et cetra.

yeah and that moral panic has shown its ugly head here in Sweden since the late 80s and become more prominent every 10 year

but as often here a woman being topless on the beach none really reacted much to it but now its not allowed without a batik-hag screams murder over it
