The Impact Effect; Explaining Sully
Heyyo everyone,
While I was uploading my most recent pieces, I realized I've never explained the way my sona works, so, here's a quick and dirty history and explanation!
Originally, Impact was a synthetic symbiote bonded to a lion, acting as simple armour and weaponry. Eventually, due to his synthetic growth nature, he started to gain a consciousness, a personality of his own, and eventually he separated from the lion host. Now, normally a symbiote NEEDS a host to live, but since Impact was created to be self sufficient, it has the nice side effect of enabling him to exist without a host.
Now, on his own he chose the name Sullivan Norwood for his Puma alter ego, to blend into society better.
Eventually he realized that hiding and blending in wasn't his cup of tea; why spend all that energy to hide when he can put it to good use? Thus, donning the name Impact once more, he controlled and concentrated himself into the white lion form he now embodies when he's needed.
Though it's rough on him to hold the form for too long, and he will revert back to his black Orcat (Orca + Cat) form, since he can swell as large as he needs and not worry about compressing his mass or inhibiting his urges in this form.
TLDR; Symbiote Armour -> Rubbergoo Orcat <-> Goocat
If anyone has any questions or wants to talk lore, history, powers, whatever you want, hit me up in the comments :D

Though I would love to know more lore about him!
Also, how would that go for the host inside?
For getting in, probably good ol’ ooze spreading; Sully’s melt down then spread over the host
I.e. in an nsfw sense you have the orcat CV'ing people, is that something Impact would be okay with?
Now I'm curious if this is like a split personality thing or just one personality put through different moral filters
I'm gonna ramble like this all day if I'm not careful
If he had urges to do anything lewd while impact, that’s where the explosive changes become an issue; his mass expands and the rush of energy he gets from not holding back any more means he WILL indulge his base instincts for a while until the rush calms down
Work uniform is a great metaphor on multiple levels from the sound of it
So the inverse of Impact would be like an explosive orcat rampage then?
It feels great and he loves how it makes him feel, but he knows he shouldn’t do it in the end.
Though, when Impact detains some criminals, there may be some instances where they mysteriously go missing afterwards...
In a mutual bonding, Sully's probably essentially "Napping" so the host can enjoy their new goo powers
If he's hurt and needs reprieve, or wants to let a friend have some fun, that's roughly the reasons why he's bond.
He slips up and does something gooey, or they do a surprise visit and he’s in his apartment “au natural”
He can still sleep and such like normal, but if he's been over exerting himself, that'd be different.
Probably won't bond with any random, more just close friends or, if he's injured, assimilating whatever is near.
Thanks for info!
I do have a bit of a question too. What should others call him? Sully? Impact? Does it depend on which form he's in?
And I guess a bit of a self indulgent question that you don't have to answer, what might he do if their host was a shapeshifter? If it was a mutual boding or a hostile takeover?
As for bonding to a shapeshifter, same rules apply, right? If it's a willing bond, it's smooth, if it's hostile, may the best mind win!
Impact can fully assimilate someone, breaking them down to their base atomic components and using them as matter to increase his mass.
But he can also forcefully assimilate someone as a host, and use their base for to accentuate his own until he lets they go.
