Here's my fb post for anyone wondering what I got!
Well guys! I am returning to the community!
It's not really as nice as what I had, but the replacement part will still do the trick for all my art needs! 😁
Now for some of the more shitty news. Looks like I also got my external hard drive ruined in the spill, it was already on it's last leg of life and we did the stupid thing by removing it from the case so that my wonderful mate could work some magic on it the first time it died on me. (I know, I should have replaced it and moved things over...but it's like 100 gb external & it was so much stuff!!!)
What does your external hard drive have to do with anything?
Well, my external hard drive was also labeled "Art" and it had literally every piece of art I've ever done on it so that I could take my work from place to place if I'm out. From 2013 all the way till 2018 I've been keeping my art stuff on the drive >< That also includes any freebies I've gotten or paid commissions.
What do you plan to do?
I'm definitely rejoining the community once again & getting involved again. Not sure if the new replacement piece will allow me to do my original plans I had set out before the PC broke, but I figure we could always try it and see so be on the lookout for those!
Upon leaving, I lost a couple art pieces I was in progress on which were commissions. A few of you also donated despite me saying there was no need, the good news is that I will be redoing anything owed as far as paid commissions go & I'm going to try and also find the time to gift a few to the donors as well.
Also, what do you guys do to keep your art files safe? Do you store them on external hard drives as well or do you use an online storage space guys?
