I’ve actually heard of some artists blocking some people because of too many favorites or comments, they just don’t like the attention I suppose.

Really? But I haven't left that many comments, and I favorite a lot of the uploads because they're good. What confuses me here is that if you don't want someone to like your artwork so much then why are you so good at it and uploading so many?

Maybe I said something somewhere on another upload that they didn't like. I don't know.

Yeah some artists just don’t want people to favorite their stuff, one guy who does this is Walter Sache he’s blocked a friend or two of mine because they left comments or favorited a bunch of his work. I hate how stubborn some artists can be on here sometimes uwu

hey i got blocked once cause i had a character that had a label a person didn't like tho it seemed fair to use under dictionary terms... and i've had a block just cause i answered a journal not realizing the context (it was a vent not labeled as one) and it pissed off the poster and no i am sorrys was enough

People can just be so stubborn and overact sometimes can't they? T_T

Sorry to hear this happened! I don't have any insight into this artist's motivation, but I'll still say: don't take it too personally, whatever the reason.

It really sucks man. I can't tell them how good their artwork is, or favorite them and worst of all I can't get a commission or YCH from now when I've been wanting to forever. All I want to know is why? So I can understand and properly apologize.

They haven't done right by you, and you don't owe them anything, anyhow. Other artists are happy to hear from you, I'm assuming, so there's something/plenty to be happy about!

As for this one individual, looking at their art might hurt in the near term. For at least a limited time, it might be best to stay away from it (when possible; not to worry overmuch if it comes up from time to time anyway in friends' Fave lists or something like that). If enough time passes that the emotions aren't bad anymore, then you can still admire their work from afar. That's something like how it was for me with another artist (and, incidentally, site mod) out there.

I was waiting for the right pep talk to cheer me up. S'why I posted this journal. Thanks man. It hurts but I respect artists too much to hold it against Gorsha. I'm sure they have their reasons. I'll take them off my Watch list to avoid making myself more upset. But hell in on them at some point I just to enjoy their talent.
