Cover-wise, I love the newer design. I grew up with the weird ass proportions of the sonic comics through the ages and feel like they've finally got something special for once. The right mix of cartoony.

Older stuff like this did have its moments though, specifically with NON-mobians like humans and robots. Even if the writing is outdated, I feel like the build-up in the original naugus issue fits BETTER than the ten pages of action and one-liners and RAAAUGH of the newer one.

Course, the brand new IDW stuff (and the really late Archie run drawn and written by the same folks) put both these to shame. Have you gotten a chance to see the new issues yet?

yeah i own most of the archie sonic comics, im missing like only 10 issues from it's whole run including specials and spin offs, also reading IDW

That's some dedication, i read most of it online now, but i did get 200 when it first came out. With the way IDW is making them so far, I have high hopes for the series.

huh that's also where i started collecting issues when it hit the 200 mark, then i luckily was able to get back issues through archie itself and the entire Sonic X run, im also buying most of the variant covers for IDW
