Lately I’ve noticed a lot of artists I watched (now unwatched because of this) are very full of themselves and all around egotistical like people owe them something.

This one artist I watched had made a YCH art piece, and no one bothered buying the slot for it, and so they started Spamming the image every few hours, and then finally made a journal throwing a bit of a pity party about how it’s a shame it’ll go to waste.

Honestly, don’t do that, don’t be an egotist if you’re an artist, it makes you look bad and you’ll end up losing a lot of credibility,

Another issue is also in some commission artists I once followed. I’ll use my brother for an example. He had spent a couple hundred dollars on a commission, and it was two years ago, it’s two years now and it’s barely out of the line art phase, and it’s only just starting.

He’s been really patient about it but two years with little progress and having the same artist constantly make YCH and opening commissions again makes me angry just because as an artist, you shouldn’t be opening commissions, getting the up front hundred or so dollars pay, and then rarely work on it for 2 years, that’s stupid.

If I was my brother I’d be demanding my money back because two years of waiting is beyond absurd. Seriously

Artists who become egotistical or think they’re all great and then treat people like that don’t deserve to be making money for art, because that’s just cheap, dirty and scummy.

That’s just my thoughts in this, sorry for the rant
