Hey guys!
I apologize, again, for my lack of updates and posts. Things had been getting hectic on my end. My schedule had been filled up between my full-time job, internship, and practically forced summer class (didn't want to take it, but had to in order to even participate in the internship). I haven't even had time to work on my own projects, or even doodle to have something posted on here. While everything is still going on, it's finally started to die down a bit, so I can breathe again, and am getting time to work on all the projects I wanted to do.
So since the last update from back in *glances at journal dates* jfc... okay, JANUARY, a few things had been going on.
I attended FWA, and sat in the Artist Alley for a good majority of the con. I really enjoyed it, and made some decent sales, which was a big confidence booster since ACE (who is asking for dealers again, and I don't suggest it until they make changes and learn to treat the dealers better). It was such a confidence boost, that I actually decided to try to get a regular Dealers Den space for FWA 2019. I'm still waiting on the results, but I'm crossing my fingers that I get it. But even if I don't get in, I will still attend, and go sell in the Artist Alley
At FWA, I got a lot of compliments on my flower crown, and it seems to becoming a popular thing (flower crowns, that is). I was hesitant of this at first, but I had debated taking on commissions of these ever since I had made it, but now I'm certain that I want to sell these. My flower crowns are very dense, flower-wise, and feature fauna ears that go over your own! I will be posting a picture of the one I made soon, so take a look! I'm probably going to take a couple on of these at a discounted price, just so I have more examples. So, keep an eye out for another journal about it!
I'm also getting ready to attend some future cons: Matsuricon (Anime convention), and FurReality. While I won't be selling in the artist alleys/dealer dens at these cons, I'm working on some fursuits/costumes for these cons. For those who were at AC this year, on Saturday, you might have seen me with my new character, Eek: skull mask with black facepaint, flower crown, fauna ears, and a deep red victorian skirt. That was just a preview of her, and wasn't completely done. While I have more parts of her finished recently, I still have one more thing to complete. I'm very excited to finish her up and show her to everyone.
Another suit I'm working is requested by a friend of mine, for a group cosplay for the movie "The Cat Returns"..... I'm making Muta! Unfortunately, since I had been lacking time, I've only recently started working on him, so he's going to be a rushed fursuit... not that this is the first time that I've had to rush a costume. Lol.
So please come up to me and say hello at any of these cons! I would love to meet you! (even if I'm a little shy and awkward)
In other news, I'm thinking of trying to do more Dealers Dens next year. I haven't decided which ones I will apply to, as I have to plan my vacation time carefully. I'm planning on selling more pins, t-shirts, and fauna flower crowns! Also going to try to do some Henna work as well, but I have to plan a bit more for that.
So that's about it for updates on what I've been up to.
I'm looking to be posting more, and draw more, and just give more content as things die down a tad. I'm going to be trying to start a Patreon for those who would like to support me and get exclusive stuff. More on that to come.
