A great game! I remember playing this a couple years ago and it's a great message

The part where it zooms out gives me intense goosebumps

very interesting. It reminds me of a Peter Coffin video discussing how ATTENTION is the currency of the marketplace of ideas and that media focuses on ratings more than news. I feel like it's attempted allegory/symbolism plays things a little too "both-sides-y" in an attempt to make a broader point, but i'll admit that i have a strong dislike of neutrality bias.

ive been getting sick of all the negative things the news show on tv for example
its so rare that they show something happy uplifting its always just about fear, hate and death
mixed with like really wierd celebrety news. It confuses me a lot that something like
'10 kids died in a bus accident' is on the same level as 'random celebrety sneezed and DIDNT COVER THEIR MOUTH WHOAAAA'

I think the thing that bothers me about this particular piece of art is that it places media as the catalyst for social conflict, and it's not. it's an amplifier, and has vested interest in stirring the pot.

oh you can put this on every situation you like

You could put this games message on a kindergarden playground
The Screen in the Middle represents a Persons Statement,
Simple Minds are always easily taken over by another persons oppinion - they dont
make their own Oppinion they just listen and then blindly follow without thinking
or questioning.

That works without media and internet too!
Social media for Example just makes it way simpler cause you can put a statement into the world quickly for
litterally everyone to see. Its not limited to a location. And Its easier to loose the Context to their Statement!
The Media isnt the Thing, theres always a Person behind it!

I overall like the piece still. I did a lot of things well, especially the out of nowhere gut punch with the man in the hat and what happened afterward: there was audio, visual, and artistic bombast that made me jump out of my chair. I agree with it's overall point, and maybe i'm just expecting too much nuance from a nonverbal piece of art.

If the game had more stuff in it it would do all the work your head is supposed to do!
