Upload Style? Wut?

Keep Your Promises, Especially To Yourself.
Still getting my footing with short stories and blurbs, and I've come across a question. Upload style. Never even considered that side of things.
So far been writing it in .rtf cause that's an incredibly common and widely used format, I can't recall a computer I've owned that couldn't use that since I was a teenager.
Should I be tossing the stories into the descriptions the way some folks do? What about when I start writing longer stories? Will they fit into the description? Or will I have to just say 'long chapter inquire within?
To the real authors on this site, I am just now starting to realize how much of this crap I have nnooooo idea about.
Oh well, I'ma hoss at heart, we bumble and thump and snuffle around till we figure it out... or break irt.. or eat it.... one way or another the problem is sorted.

It also makes use of the 'larger text'/'smaller text' buttons for your readers, which is also very helpful!
You can use google drive (like I do) to have PDF version of your story and just use the [url] HTML tag to connect it with your share link!
And it sure never mentioned UTF-8. So that's a huge help.
Not a fan of PDFs but I'll poke around at it, at the very least I should probly get a feel for em again as a general skill
Despite almost all my story uploads being .txt files, I will also prefer to read pdfs over other formats. There's something nice about being able to open it directly in browser instead of having to download it.
Whenever people dump their stories into the description, it always annoys me a little because it messes with the site's search system. For example, if I search for the tag "Hyper", the site will also find "hypersensitive" or "hyperactive" if the word is used in the description, leading to entirely unrelated results.
The .txt method is serviceable, but doesn't quite compare to pdf when it comes to long, 15+ page stories.
Mr-Walrus does use a good method of providing both, yes. Although i always just scroll right the the bottom to click his pdf links, it's handy to have both options there.
I'll try mucking with PDFs a bit, I have notice some issues keeping my formatting from going wacky in the .txt format oddly, but I've mostly got that nailed down, won't mind looking into another format, and browser friendlier sounds like a big plus. And yeah, I never thought of the 'search' issue, but I'll keep that in mind before dumping things into desc.
