Trying to get sundays off to spend with

My human is dying, I mean the one I work with the most of the time at least, and while I would be okay with staying with him till the end, but I can't sacrifice my personal happiness at the degree that I am currently. I find myself knowing my worth, and knowing what part of it I won't subject myself to.
I have to get over the "this is the right thing to do" mentality and fight for what I want in life.
