A Tragic Anniversary
Two years ago today, at precisely 11:00 P.M. tonight, a woman named Nancy passed away; she was in her late 60s. She was my dear grandmother, or Nans as we called her.
She had been sick for years and while we all knew she wasn’t going to be here forever, it shattered our hearts into countless pieces. I couldn’t process it at first, my sister was hesitant to tell me, my cousins were in disbelief, but out of all of us; my aunt and father suffered the loss of their mother the most. They were broken so bad, my dad, who was strong all the time I knew him, broke into a sobbing mess.
Two years later, the pain still lingers, but we’ve learned to accept that she’s in a better place where no more harm can come to her.
But so long as we remember the good times; she’s never that far away
I apologize to everyone here if I’ve been acting out, as stated before; this was a very bad month for me, but I’m ready to put it behind soon as it ends. And thanks for the confidence.
