Now, for any who grew up in the 90s, you’re already familiar with Power Rangers; a live action superhero show that was adapted from Japan, but edited to appeal to western audiences.

One of the lower points of MMPR, I apologize to say… is the MMPR movie. Especially since it introduced a character that hasn’t appeared before or even after the movie; Mordant, a pig-like monster.

Now, if he were related to the pig monster from the first season, I’d have believed it. It was stated in deep lore that he was Goldar’s cousin… but no inform was given about him, and at no point was his name ever said in the movie.

As a result, Mordant was an even more useless minion that Baboo and Squatt, and even they had times to shine before they vanished from the franchise.

Which begs the question, how would you rewrite to have Mordant fit or make sense in MMPR?
