Hello all
I have returned, I know from how quiet I am here you're probably thinking "he was away?" well I was. I flew out to Diego Garcia, worked on a ship there for 6 months expected to go home early August but something unexpected happened and I had to stay with the ship for an additional month in which the ship departed tropical DGar for a world crossing trip ending in South Carolina which is where I finally was able to be relieved and flew home from. Many adventures were had while I was away, I was initiated as a Trusty Shellback by King Neptune himself probably being the highlight of the whole trip. Crossing the Indian ocean, down past the Horn of Africa and North though the Atlantic until reaching American shores gave me a new healthy respect for the old sailors who would do this trip on thier wooden vessels entirely dependent on the wind and stars for navigation. I am really glad to be back home, I plan on being around at least until January or February when I'd like to go back to work but probably not for as long as this last trip.
