Desktop recommendations??
Kipper0308 and I are looking to get a good desktop computer at some point. My laptop is about 4 years old now and I use it primarily for work so it's not really necessary for me to get another laptop at this point. I've never bought a PC desktop though, so I'm not really sure what specs to look for. Anyone out there a little more tech-savvy that can give me some recommendations for a budget-friendly good quality desktop? I'm looking for something with a good display(the colors on my laptop really suck) and while we're not big PC gamers it is important that we can run Adobe programs without any issues or major lag. Basically, we'd be using it for art, streaming, recording and video editing. I'm told Asus, Lenovo, and MSI are good options and that Dell is garbage. I've had HP laptops which run fine, but I don't know about their desktops.
Suggestions would be appreciated!
Also, when you say budget friendly, what range are you thinking of? You might want to spend a bit more on some components than others, like cpu, gpu and memory for art, combined with a decent ssd hard drive to load things quicker c:
And as Nevermint said, try checking stuff like that out during black friday, is usually a lot cheaper then!

TigerDirect and Newegg are great for computers. DIY combo kits get you better deals too, you get discounts and rebates on bundles.
I bought a ~$500 DIY combo kit from TigerDirect, saved about $100 with rebates, and have never had a single issue with it.
Go with AMD powered computers. They're cheaper and run just as well as "Big Name" computers.
I'd recommend against buying a brand name desktop. Only really look for that in a laptop. It's not worth it to build your own laptop. Mix and matching pieces is just cheaper for desktops.
