What to Expect in Coming Chapters...
Some of you have asked 'what's gonna happen' and since it's tough to juggle work, school, and writing all in the same go, which causes some of my chapters to take a while to be posted, I thought I'd offer a few details that'll keep up interest.
However, first I wanna say THANK YOU. Thank you to all of you who continually encourage me and ask me such questions, which tells me that my writing and storylines are something that is actually enjoyed and desired. It's seriously all of you that keeps my writing going.
So here's some details:
Some of you have observed that, yes, it's really been the saga of Derek-Ethan-Josh. That's been deliberate cause I wanted to emphasize their importance to the story. Nonetheless, as evidenced by the introduction of Connor, there are others they will ultimately interact with. Even still, all three of them are heavily flawed characters, and that is definitely something that will play a role in this series. For instance, Josh's murder of Caleb, that's not something that's going away for him. Same goes with Derek regarding Brandon; his guilt doesn't simply vanish.
Here's at least two new characters to expect:
Tyler: He's a TE on their football team. Tyler is lean muscular and a tremendous football player, having made it onto the varsity team during his Sophomore year. He is perceptive, yet doesn't take life too seriously. By way of fate, he'll learn his town has werewolves in its vicinity, and will seek out to become one himself...will he?
Kevin: He is a Junior, senior-writer for the school newspaper and editor-in-chief for the yearbook staff. He immerses himself in work, is continually exhausted, but his one pleasure is watching his school football games, discretely wishing he had the confidence to play the sport. By way of fate, he'll learn more about his football team than he ever knew before. He has a good heart, but that may be a liability in the long-run.
One final thing:
Part of what makes this series work is an effective storyline. I know some of you have sent me messages requesting more transformations, and I aim to meet that demand. I mean, it's a series about werewolves after all! Nonetheless, an effective plot depends on strong development of characters and a storyline that has continuity, and most important to me, stays in a real-world format. For example, one of my biggest issues with MTV's Teen Wolf was that it was obvious the writers went in a fantasy direction cause they had no originality on how to keep the story real-world, and it really hurt the show's watchability (in my opinion!). I don't want the same for my series, and I'm working hard to maintain that realism that is important to me.
I'll conclude here by saying again, thank you all so much. I still welcome suggestions and feedback, as both greatly assist me.
Till next time!
