Why does this need to even be said?

Okay, this is something that I feel that I need to mention. Not because I am a jerk or lack compassion ( I am an ecologist and rehabilitate animals in my spare time, clearly I am proactive in that department ). I am firm in the stance of personal responsibility and am tired of seeing journal entries about some kind of crisis that we, as the community here, should not be involved in. That's not why we are here. That being said...
1) I will not be donating money to your crisis funds unless it is business as usual and I want to commission you. Tax dollars pay for (even internationally) this kind of stuff not me, not anyone else here. We are already helping you out by supporting infrastructure on every paycheck we get (excluding the few areas that do not, in that case, refer to yourself to a web site intended for these cases ).
2) I actually *do* care and I will offer honest and legit advice and resources that will help you. Reach out to me and I will find some way to help you deal with it. If you can't accept that form of assistance, then you are scamming or unwilling to try. In that case, you need to deal with your problems, in the same way, everyone else does.
3) Learn how to be fiscally responsible and stop getting pets that you can't afford to take care of, pay your own bills and rent, get a job, get government assistance, search the internet, do what you need to do regardless of your personal "issues" that you use as an excuse to avoid assistance.
4) This community is not here to get you out of the hole that you dug for yourself or life's little games that prompt you to make decisions. Life is hard and we've all (or most) have been there so, stop being lazy/scared/helpless and leave us out of it. This is part of being an adult, not a child.
5) Other people should always donate to legit organizations, not panhandlers. Anyone truly in need can utilize these services and will *not* become homeless.
6) I *will* and do help certain users whom I know do not abuse the generosity of this community. I can tell who actually needs a hand and who is not being resourceful.
7) Scamming for money is considered fraud and it is illegal.
