Yup, sounds like this holiday is tailor-made for this big, fluffy dragonwuff!
So, who among Vrghr's furry friends is planning now on celebrating Woofenoot?
Vrghr's office folks may be in for a surprise in November when wuffy springs this one on them! *giggles*

Wuff's co-workers know he's a Furry (they smile tolerantly, for the most part), so they probably won't be TOO surprised when Vrghr springs it on them.
And they'll definitely be more receptive if it involves Vrghr cooking for the shop again! *LAUGHS*
I'm normally not into the FaceBook holidays because they are so random and usually pretty dumb but this one is definitely different.
And yes, the roast meat aspect will definitely be enjoyed.
But, as you say, this is different. And even if it weren't, its the perfect holiday for Furries! Even for the non-wolf ones. *grin*
As for the roast meat part. Wuffy has GOT to do something good but weird there! Like maybe Bacon-Wrapped chuck roast, cooked in Sous Vide to rare for a LONG time so the chuck roast is melting tender, then finished on the grill so the outside is seared and the bacon crisps up. Served with a mushroom gravy, perhaps?
Oh gosh! Now wuff is drooling on his keyboard! *LAUGHS*
but that being said, I'm definitely a carnivorous bunny I love a good steak but more often then not I'll smoke a boneless pork shoulder or butt after a week long marinade. The marinade is usually pineapple juice, garlic, a hint of clove and a dash of cayenne for a bit of a kick and after putting it in the smoker I pack a thin layer of brown sugar around it for a caramelized crust, it's soooooooooo good
And I definitely agree about Wolfenoot, this should explode in the furry community

That one definitely got wuffy drooling too! Vrghr going to HAVE to try the sous vide trick, after such a recommendation!

And this cookin' wuff has got to do something special in the meats department to go with it. Along with suitable wolfish decorations and gifts. *bounces excitedly*
Share EASY recipes for those of us with not a lot of spoons!
Hmmmm... Easy spoon-restricted recipes? Sounds like a challenge!
Vrghr will get right on that! *Grins in anticipation*
I can't wait to see what you will come up with... and will be trying some of them!
And for any one else who has ever loved a doggo in their life.
Wuff is already putting together a "recipe ideas" working list for possible foods for the whole month of Wolfenoot (Vrghr has too many so far for just one meal). Will start posting them up for folks in Gallery and Journals depending on whether they're just recipes in work, or if wuff has actually created them to try them out. Perhaps you'll find some ideas there for the roast! *grin*
(Just a "warning" in advance - there's likely to be a LOT of bacon among the ingredient lists! *giggles*)

We need to get more furs behind this! Perhaps some Wolfenoot arts, badges, etc., in some upcoming conventions?
With all the wonderful artists here, there's also opportunity - - the Wolfenoot folk are looking for "Merch" sources for shirts, etc., featuring the new holiday.

Wuffy just loves the way the post from this little kid's idea is taking off. "Legit" news networks are covering it. It's got its own hashtags. They're trying to come up with merchandise ideas now, for folks who want shirts, mugs, etc., to celebrate the occasion. *laughs* Its fun to watch!
Vrghr is sure the "Great Wolf Spirit" would gladly welcome foxes to the fold as well as the doggos it honors.
Oh, and wuff guesses it would be Foxenoot, if you're going to mirror the wolfs. *grins and hugs*
I also love how the world proves itself to be so silly sometimes... as to the merchandizing - that's just greed.
