▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I don’t usually do this sort of thing, but can’t stay quite…
Remember the contest I told you about
I did not win.
Since the beginning, I felt something was wrong.
I wasn’t mistaken.
The person who won first place cheated, and I have solid proof of family members asking people to vote multiple times from different devices such as computers, ipads, laptops, phones, etc.
Even so, I thought, “well, they have official rules and they do a check out during the final round approving or not the design”
But NO, they just chose the three designs which had more voted
Although other people reported this (with proof) they excused themselves with “We cannot blame the artist for the wrong behavior of their family/friends/followers”
It would be the same as saying because somebody else gave me the answers to a test and I used them, “It’s not my fault because somebody else gave me the answers”
They say their voting process it’s transparent, even when they know people cheated…
Moreover, I’m not talking for myself, but for other artists who were HONEST asking for votes and publicize their designs the right way, for it to be for nothing, because a bunch of greedy pigs cheated, and the worst part is that they will get away with it since the company don't give a flying fuck about it.
You know now, you can cheat and get away with it as long as others do it for you. It won't be your fault.
Some people tried to show the proof on their FB page, but they quickly deleted it.

I'm very sorry, dear :( It sucks! Yours was a sweet design!
This was a really hard kick for me, not just for losing, but knowing WHAT the "winner" did, and even worst, they're just gonna pretend nothing happened.
the good thing is that designing pattern/clothing drawings left me a good taste, so I might try to open a redbubble or other page that offers merchadising and perhaps will start to design clothing, wish I could know a website that let you design and offer your own socks (sorry, I just love socks so much x'D)
The problem with online voting is that it's easy to break. You check IP address? I'll vote from different devices. Email/account check? I can make multiple, or ask people to vote for me. The only thing would be only accepting votes from "verified users", but whatever that could mean it would either result in a closed community with no ties with the external world, or be something easy to break anyway. So yeah, there's no much point in doing it.
But as you say, nobody stops you from trying to offer your product anyway!
Yeah, when I started to get suspicious at first I started to read articles of automatic-bots and such, and I noticed how easy is to break all of the different kind of online-voting process.
I could have easily used Tor with a VPN, refresh to have a new IP each time and make infinite votes on the poll.
Even knowing all of that I preferred to still do it the right way. Even KNOWING the design that was on 1st place was cheating. (Btw, the 1st prize was $2000 and 15 pairs of sock, so now you understand why they were so desperate to win at all cost)
That really, REALLY makes you wonder and doubt about your own integrity.... like, bad people get rewarded and get away with it. You tried to make everything the right way and absolutely nothing happens or even worst, you don't success at all.
Is kinda depressing, my friend.
But wow, 2000$?
Also it sucks you lost to a bunch of ballot stuffers.
Wish I could expose them but I feel powerless tbh
