If you're in Florida, you have tons of teams to choose from! Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning in NHL... and Florida Everblades, Jacksonville Icemen, and Orlando Solar Bears in ECHL. You should pick whatever's closest to you and go :) The ECHL teams are still pro teams, but will be much less expensive (like $15 a ticket usually).
Watching in person vs on TV is so much different for sports, and ice arenas are so small that you're pretty close to the action no matter where you're sitting.

You should totally go! I was never super into sports, but hockey is cheap, fast paced, and the stadiums are usually pretty small so you get a great view of everything.
