Every time they've changed the doctor, it's taken a couple episodes for them to grow on me. I never like them right away, and the last one I didn't like till the last few episodes he was in... Jodi is different. I loved her from the first episode, and it's only gotten better!

I do have some more reservations about the Tardis's new look though. It looks more mystical than technological. No more steampunk or high tech appearance. But being more hesitant about the look of the ship than the fantastic actor they chose, isn't that bad!

Yeah the change sounds normal for anyone really. I think its the fresh start on the series which will make the series grow once again. As for the TARDIS looking different, makes ya wonder how many "desktop themes" its got. I believe the 5th (Peter Davison) was the one who mentioned that he hated a certain leopard skin one. XD

Love the fact that after the latest regeneration into 13th, the TARDIS just simply blows up with a push of a button, almost like saying, "Okay you changed you know the rules.. GET OUT WHILE I CHANGE!" XD

I think it's interesting they made the Doctor a woman this time around because the producers did actually start asking "Is there any reason why the Doctor wouldn't regenerate as a woman?" and there wasn't anything established that didn't outright say no, so they decided to take a shot!

Well Peter Capaldi did say they had evolved beyond such things about gender problems and stuff. Then there was Matt Smith who said that his awesome friend regenerated twice before and always had that tattoo and once as a woman, going on to compliment how she looked. XD
