I've been using Huion GT-190 for 2 years or so and never experienced weird issues so far. With the quality and price, it's pretty good brand, also similar to Ugee (they both have very close specifications and quality).

Cons it needs to warm up about 5 mins if its cold outside.

Pros is super smooth. No glare and I have a light right over me + a huge window and my fan lights are always on.
Adjustable stand.

Fav things about it the switch button from scroll zoom to pin size.
4 Custom Button's.
Never gets hot.
Pin nibs last me forever and I draw 8+ hours a day.

Pin holder holds extra nibs.
Works with sai open canvas clip studio Photoshop Da Muro have yet to find a program it doesn't work with.

Try a Huion-GT 191V2 (batteryless pen) or the Huion GT-191 V1 (It's just that one requires a charged pen); I recently upgraded to the Huion and it's the best experience ever. I feel you on the hand-to-eye co-ordination part as I lack that myself so using a small wacom bamboo for many years was rough. You will find it alot easier with the screen tablet and Huion's are generally great price for the size you get/money you spend on it.

There are some drawbacks, such as drivers/calibration can be a pain (which took me awhile to sort) but once that's done it's generally lush to work with after that. However; you will need to fiddle around if you have SAI Version 1 as you gotta change some settings but there's videos to explain to do that, otherwise Photoshop or ClipStudio/SAI 2 don't have problems with.

Huion is great ! affordable and they offers a wide range. I use one without a screen but I know they have a bunch of them.

Pros would defo be the price and how easy they are to set up and use. Also I've dropped mine multiple times and it still works like day one. Cons would be the drivers (don't bother using the CD, drivers on the website are more up to date) and the pen (breaks easily imo but you can replace it for better ones).

I couldn't afford a screen tablet when I got mine, but my Huion 610 is super reliable and it came with a deal of double all replacement nibs at the time. I think the only con was that I had to download the drivers from the site rather than the disk (no biggie) and the chord is a little wiggly but a little bit of folded paper solved that easily. Pros is definitely that it's cheap and the quality is really nice for that. Good pressure sensitivity and size too with plenty of quick keys/buttons as well.

huion seems like the logical option here, more and more very mainstream artists are leaving wacom and not looking back.

I use a Yiynova screen tablet. I really like it, the only thing I honestly don't care for is that my pen requires a battery to work. However, you can purchase these tablets on amazon or from the main manufacture website. These guys are pretty nice to be honest. When I bought my tablet, I immediately got a message from the company a day or two later telling me the tablet I ordered was out of stock, so they were giving me the nest best thing which was a bigger and better tablet, without any charge. When I received my tablet, I was also given 2 pens, in cases with different nibs, 2 drawing gloves, instruction manual, and hdmi adapters for my laptop. Like a lot of hdmi adapters, along with the download disc. And they are constantly upgrading the systems for the drawing tablets. They are still expensive like most but I think they are EXTREMELY REASONABLE PRICED compared to Wacom. Like mine is a 22 inch tablet and was $600 I believe. Absolutely worth it.
OH I know one problem I have had, if you have separate monitor screens open it will not work. Just have it set up like you normally would and it shall work ^^.

I've used Huion for 5 years and I love it, but I also hear really good things about Adesso, which is what I will be upgrading to.

Huion is really good. I bought the huion kamvas pro 13 about a week ago. The pressure sensivity is insane. I am owning a cintiq 24 hd but the huion has 4 as much pressure sensivity. At the moment I struggle to learn how to use all the pressure xD
But the tablet is amazing. I wanted someting for working from the couch. It has the ideal size for it with a laptop c:

400 bucks are much but I think it is the best alternative to a cintiq at the moment. Pen doesnt need charging which is great.
