Well I’m from Venezuela and that could put me out of the race. Although I’m good at English translations, I think I don’t have knowledge about Cuban idioms. They have a lot in common with most Latin American languages but every single of them has its own touch. So if you want accuracy in Cuban idioms maybe even if I’m willing to help, I’m not your man.

Meaning in Cuban

"Coño" is like hey man or hey you.

"Hijo de Puta" = Son of a Bitch.

"Negro mal nacido" = that your no good for nothing or a basterd.

"No te fajes" = Don't get mad or mad whit me.

Coño in Latin America means vagina. Is the slang equal of pussy. Is also uesed in Spain although they also use the term ‘cona’

Sorry if you percieved that as rude? Coño, in literal translation is slang for vagina, kinda like pussy is. Another way, of using it, is like saying fuck. So its no way of saying hi. Buenas is actually a very popular way of welcoming someone to your home in cuban culture.

It is rude if you reply & don't explain what you know about the meaning of the word, the word "Coño" & depending how you use it can be a Insult in many parts in the Caribbean & Latin America also Spain.
In Mexico we us Huey, meaning Ass or Donkey now its not meant as a insult if you know the person & also depending the situation that your in the region.
In my house whit my brothers we use "Huey" as hey you or hey, but teasing & we use it whit a W "Wuey" because the H is mute in are Mex Lang, so we add a little flare to it.
Bienvenido or Adelante is popular word of welcoming someone in your home or a open reunion space.
